Default Find and replace in Word 2007

Replace (in all versions of Word) searches all layers of the document in
turn (first then document body, then headers/footers, footnotes/endnotes,
text boxes, etc.) but only if you Replace All. If you use Find Next, it will
just wrap around in the document body; you then have to open the
footnote/endnote pane, header/footer pane, etc., to search those stories.

In older versions of Word, "Find" searched both text and footnotes in one
search. I am unable to restore this functionality in the 2007 beta. I

have
had to perform two separate searches, first in the document, and then in

the
footnotes. Has anybody found a solution?
