I use word 2002 and make backups of all my .doc files.

I wish I could have them created and kept in a totally different folder to
unclutter the main one.

Is that possible?

Thank you

Jorge,

You may create as many different folders for your doucments as you wish.
However, a true back up is only created when you place a copy on a different
media than your hard drive. This may be on a second hard drive that you have
installed in your computer (not a different partition), an external hard
drive, an external ZIP disk, an external tape storage device, a CD or DVD,
or e-mailed to someone else's computer.

When working with Word, and using Word, a true "backup" in Word, is as
Word defines it. Same as with any other program! "Backup" has many
meanings and because you object to the one here, it's rude & crude and a
waste to be throwing crap into the mis.
