Have you checked for:
(1) COM Add-Ins
(2) The Adobe registry keys
I know that you said you checked the registry keys, but, like Suzanne, I am
surprised. In virtually every instance of this problem I have read about,
Adobe Acrobat was the culprit. If you have people using Acrobat 7, they may
simply not be aware that they have the problem or they may have not
installed the Add-In.

Working with WINXP Pro SP2 and Office 2K3 SP1. I DO NOT HAVE

installed and was never installed before. Changes in toolbars

when the user close Word and re-open it. I do not see the

I've uninstalled the reader 6.0, remove the installation folder,
reboot and
tried without an Adobe program installed and the problem is
still
present.
