Almost everytime I drag and drop text in Word 2003 it locks up the program
has to recover it then restart, any suggestions?
I reinstalled once, I'm using XP, have big hard drive lots of memory
everythings standard on the hp I have.

No problems in other applications? Did you try Help/Detect and Repair in
Word?

If you start windows in Safe Mode, does the problem persist?

How about starting Word in Safe Mode?
