No apologies would be necessary if you actually cross-posted. What you have
done, however, is multi-post (posted separately to more than one NG). If
you include both NGs in the header of a single post, then readers will not
see the duplicate post in the second NG they read.

employs an outline-style numbering, as follows:

Body Text, based on no style, and no numbering

1.1.1 Body Text 3, based on Heading3, not bold

I wrote the document, no problem. Now, when I open the document to` edit
it,
my Body Text styles have all been modified to use the numbering format,
but
with the plain Body Text style starting at Level 2. I used the Template
Organizer to copy the styles from the original template, and the numbering
has been removed from all the styles. If I open the template, the styles
are
numbered or not, as I originally specified.

Can anybody explain this behavior?
