Just a few thoughts as I'm not familiar with ePublisher or WebWorks, but
FWIW the info may be helpful:-)

First, there is no difference in the file format used by Word 2002 & 2003 -
both versions use the same identical file format so there is no "conversion"
from one to the other.

Second, if the files open & look fine in Word *and* you can generate correct
PDFs *and* the steps you've taken made no difference, it's highly unlikely
that there is any corruption in the docs. I'm fully with Stefan here - the
problem appears to be on the WW end.

Third, there could be any number of reasons why he couldn't open the file
based on the security "features" in most email transmittals anymore. It
isn't necessarily the fault of the file as you sent it. You might try
sending him another copy _but_ zip it first in order to protect it from the
evil henchmen of the email realm... It's like a baggage inspector going
through your suitcase with a chain saw:-)

When I say ³didn¹t work,² I mean they won¹t compile in ePublisher Pro. They
still look and behave fine in Word.

I was hoping I could revert the documents back to Word 2002 before creating
the Help but use the Word 2003 versions to make PDFs, toggling back and forth
depending on what type of document I need to create. But I don¹t know how to
do that in Word or whether it would be advisable.

BTW, how would I otherwise tell that my files are corrupted? They do look
fine to me, and convert to PDFs fine. The WW tech support guy couldn¹t open
the file I sent him, though. Is there a way I can check to see if files have
this transparent corruption? If so, I could do this check and correct it
before trying to convert into Help.

I¹m using Word 2003 on XP. Thanks in advance for any help.
