If the numbers you want to merge are consecutive then you could use skipif
fields eg to print only those with numbers 1 to 3
{ SKIPIF{ MERGEFIELD Counter_Number } 1 }{ SKIPIF{ MERGEFIELD
Counter_Number } 3
