Default How to insert small circle and type inside it

Moreover, if you right-click on the AutoShape and choose Add Text, a textbox
will be inserted in the circle.

Or.. and it depends how small you want the circle - you could open the
drawing toolbar, click the oval & hold down shift as you draw it, then

click
the fill color (paint pot) and click none. you can adjust the position of

the
circle when selected by using Ctrl & the arrow keys.
Just another way .....

I need to know how to circle some numbers

Use the Insert Symbol dialog (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/InsertSpecChars.htm). Select the Arial
Unicode MS font, and select "Enclosed Alphanumerics" in the Subset

dropdown.
You'll find there all the numbers from 1 to 20 in circles. For some

reason a
zero in a circle follows all the circled letters.

If you use these a lot, you can assign keyboard shortcuts to them by
clicking the button at the bottom of the dialog.
