Default absolute positioning of mail merged data relative to page

You can try positioning material absolutely using either Word Textboxes or
Word Frames (Word frames are the older version of textboxes in Word and have
nothing to do with HTML frames).

The main problem with textboxes is that you cannot use all of Word's field
types in there. In that case, you can convert the text boxes to Word frames
by selecting the text box and usingRight-click-Format text box-Text
box-Convert to frame. Or to get a button that lets you insert frames, use
Tools|Customize|Commands, select category All Commands, look for the command
InsertFrame and drag it to a toolbar.

I am trying to mail merge data into a document but need to fix the position
of some of the fields as it is being overprinted onto a form. After the
mail
merge if the data is blank it is shifting other data fields either left or
up
(if there is a whole line of data missing. Can anyone please help. I am
using Word 2003.
