System restore does *not* restore data files such as Word documents! However
I believe the Vista operating system has a slightly more intelligent type of
backup system and that *may* hold a solution.
Otherwise, if you saved over a document, it is gone, unless you have the
budget for expensive data recovery which (may) be able to recover your
document.
