Not sure what you are after but adding pages can be achieved by pressing
Ctrl+enter in the appropriate place. You can also use Insert - Break - Page
break - OK.
Be aware these are hard page breaks, which will remain in the document long
after you really need them.
You could just as easily put your cursor where the new text needs to come
and type it in. No need to move things around.
Or have I completely misread your question?
