What happens when you try to scroll through the document? What is happening
that is telling you that Word is preventing you from scrolling?

Word never did that in the '97 version but this '03 version won't allow me

scroll up and down in the document unless I move the insertion point from

place where I last typed. This is frustrating when you want to look at

places in your document and you constantly have to move your insertion
