Default using } without leaving a blank line

In addition to the suggestion to use an autoshape for the bracket, you will
need to format it (select the autoshape, click Format Autoshape, and click
the Layout tab) so that it is either in front of the text or so the text
wrapping settings are appropriate to your needs. I am referring to Word
2000; later versions may vary somewhat from what I have described.

I want to connect 2 lines of text using } = without leaving a blank line in
between
example
xyz
}=123
abc
can I do it or do I continue to write it in by hand.

Thanks
Jan
