Default Automatic additions to the clipboard

I am using Word 2003 and I have Adobe Professional on my machine as well.
Everytime I start Word or any of the office products, it automatically adds a
pdf icon to the clipboard. Any idea why? Sometimes I have 10 of these in the
clipboard. My fear is that it will bump something that I need from the
clipboard.
