Smart Tags are another issue in recent versions; see “WD2002: You Are
Prompted to Save Changes When You Close a Document Even Though You Have Made

There are several things that change a document behind the scenes. Most
commonly --

- The document contains a { DATE } field - this updates to the current

date
each time you open the document.
- You print the document. Thus updates the 'Last printed date' property.

Whenever i open one of my word documents and i don't make a change to
it...then, I go File---Close...i get a dialog box that prompts me with
the
following statement "Do you want to save the changes to name of my

doc?"

WHY DO I GET PROMPTED WITH THIS WHEN I HAVE NOT CHANGED ANYTHING IN THE
DOCUMENT?
