editing an html file, can't save without changing name
Years ago I created some web pages using a text based web tool- which is no
longer available in a modern version usable on Vista.
So, I discovered that I could load those html files in "Word 2007" and can
do some basic text editing of those files- not sure about manipulating
graphics and other objects, but I only care to edit some text- such as
changes in addresses, etc.
So, I loaded some html files into Word 2007, did the editing, then when I
clicked on "save"- it brings up a dialog box which insists that I change the
name- when I just want to save it to the same name, another dialog box comes
up saying that's not possible because the file is open in another program or
a second time in the same program- which isn't actually happening- so, the
only way to get passed this is to create a new file with a different name-
then later rename the files back to the original name.
I can't imagine why Word is doing this- as it doesn't do that with ordinary
Word files.
Any clue to this problem will be appreciated.
