Are these the same old file converters stored in the C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\TextConv folder that you could download from my web
site?
Do they actually work with Word 2007. The fact that the registry entries
point to them is no real indication that they will actually work (though the
registry entries would have had to have been moved to the appropriate part
of the registry tree from Office 11 - which hold some minor glimmer).

Hi Suzanne,
In Word 2007 I'm currently four filters for opening Works
wordprocessor files, although some of them may have come from the
Works converter download page.
Works v4,
Works v5(2000)
Works v6.0-v9.0
Works v7.0
In setup for Office 2007 the optional Text Converter install is
listed as 'Works 7.0-9.0 Converter for Windows'

I'm guessing you might be right (certainly on the first point), but I
don't have Word 2007 installed. Surely there will be conversion
filters for at least some Works formats.
