Default Font

To add to what Dawn has said, CG Times is a font that is resident in many HP
LaserJet printers. It may have been used in many older documents created
before TrueType fonts became common (or in WordPerfect documents). If you no
longer have a LaserJet printer, or if you have elected to display only
TrueType fonts (not printer-resident fonts) and have not installed the
TrueType display fonts for the HP resident fonts, then Word will substitute
TNR.

Check to see if the new PC actually has the CG Times font installed in
the font folder. My guess is that it is not there, and Word is coming
as close to CG Times as it can to properly render your documents.

Recently installed a new PC running Office 2003. The defualt font
for Word
is CG Times. When openning an older document that has (CG times) it
changes
the font to Times New Roaman. Why?
