In earlier versions of Word, when using track changes, it was possible to
show deletions in strikethrough, thereby making the reviewing changes of text
easy, which is after all the object of track changes. However in Windows XP,
you are provided with two options, either using balloons so that you
constantly have to move your eye from the text to the margin, which takes
over twice as long to review deletions, or you can get the deletions to show
up in the text where thy are shown as standard text but in a different
colour, which is highly confusing.
