Creating a Large Poster on Multiple Pages in Microsoft Word
1. Set the page size to the size of your poster:
- Go to the "Layout" tab
- Click on "Size"
- Select "More Paper Sizes"
- Enter the dimensions of your poster
- Click "OK"
2. Select "One Page" view:
- Go to the "View" tab
- Select "One Page"
3. Set custom margins:
- Go to the "Page Layout" tab
- Click on "Margins"
- Select "Custom Margins"
- Set the margins to 0.5 inches on all sides
4. Draw a rectangle:
- Go to the "Insert" tab
- Click on "Shapes"
- Select the rectangle shape
- Draw a rectangle that covers the entire page
5. Position the rectangle:
- Click on the rectangle
- Drag it to the appropriate location
6. Add content:
- Add your content to the first section of your poster
- Repeat steps 4-6 for each section of your poster
7. Print:
- Go to the "File" tab
- Select "Print"
- Under "Settings", select "Poster"
- Select the number of pages you want your poster to print on
- Adjust the overlap if necessary
8. Assemble your poster:
- Print your poster
- Assemble the pages to create your final poster
