It resides in Header by default so go into Header and click on handles of
graphic and "delete".

I put a background watermark (DRAFT) onto the first page of a document but
now cannot remove it. When I go into the Format Background Printed
watermark menu, it already says that there is no watermark, and if I click
onto either of the other two options and then back onto 'no watermark' and
either 'apply' or 'ok', it makes no difference.

The document was originally created in Word 2003, but it has been worked
on
by numerous people and I'm not sure what versions they were using. The
watermark was put onto the document in 2003 though.
