Default Runaway pagination on Word 2002 document

What you describe is classically symptomatic of a corrupt document. For
common causes & probable cures see:

I am writing a 72 page booklet and while I was editing it, suddenly the
number of pages of the document began accelerating to over 15,000 pages in
less than 30 seconds. I closed the document, but it asked if I wanted to
save it in Normal view (I use Print View as I am adding photos). I said yes,
but the pictures were no longer available so I clicked no. When I reopened
the file in Print View, it started up with the runaway pagination again. I
scrolled down and when I reached page 50, the view immediately switched to
Normal and the pagination contiued to run wild. I again closed the file. I
tried other booklet files and they are not affected - it only this one. I
can't get to the last 22 pages to edit the pictures in poage view so I'm at a
loss as to how to fix the problem. I ran System Restore to 3 days prior
and the problem still exists so any help or insight would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,
