Default hanging indent

Word 2003:
On the Format menu, click Paragraph.
Select the Indents and Spacing tab.
In the Special box (under Indentation), click Hanging. In the By box, type
the amount you want the text to move from the left margin and then click OK.
Move the insertion point between the text on the left, and press the TAB key.

Word 2007
Position the insertion pointer in the paragraph you want to hang and indent.
Click the Page Layout tab in the Ribbon.
Open the Paragraph dialog box by clicking the Dialog Box Launcher button in
the lower-right corner of the Paragraph group.
In the Indentation area, select the Hanging option from the Special
drop-down list.
Click OK.
