Default Hit Counters for word?

You could add an AutoOpen macro to run every time the document opens; but
you need to check whether your intranet security will permit this to work.
Probably not, for two reasons: 1) most systems won't permit macros to run in
this context, for fear of viruses, and 2) to retain the value you're going
to have to update something permanently -- either the document itself or
another file -- and most intranet set-ups don't give ad hoc users write
permission on the server.

Hi!

I'm in a bit of a bind- I want to place a Word document up on our
Intranet,
but I also want to see how many hits it gets. It has to be done in Word
format, as we want to have the "track changes" feature on the document,
and
we want to keep it in a format that most ppl will understand. Is there
anyway
to track the hits on a word document?? I'm using Dreamweaver for my FTP.

Thanks in advance!
