Sounds like the user doesn't have the WP Iconic Symbols font installed on
the computer where this is happening. Try using an arrow from a different
font, such as Wingdings 3.

When the user clicks on Insert, symbol and selects a right arrow in
"Recently used symbols" a lower case "a" with a dot on top comes up

of a right arrow. The character code is 224. To the left of the character
code the screen reads WP Iconic SymbolsA:00E0. The From: box is Symbol
(decimal).
