Yes, the add-in starts every time. I've been looking for the Word Startup
folder. I searched Startup in Documents & Settings. No joy. Can you tell
me where it might be hiding?

If that add-in is in your Word (or Office) startup folder it will always
start with Word. If you want to use it only as required, move it to
another folder then add it to tools templates and add-ins from that
folder, then uncheck it until required.
