Whenever you have markup displayed, the default print setting is "Document
with markup," which is what you will get if you click the Print button. To
print the document without markup, you'll need to go to the Print dialog and
change the setting. If you're creating a template for users, you could
write/record a macro to print the document without markup and assign this to
an alternate toolbar button (storing both macro and toolbar button in the
template).

Thanks for your response Suzanne, but if I select final on the
reviewing toolbar all my comments disapear from screen. I need the user
to see them on screen and not on the printout.

I have created a document with comments on. I want the comments to

be
seen but not to print. I know that in the 'Print What' field,

within
the print properties, you select document instead of document

showing
markup. However how do I save this property so that I do not have

to
select document every time I go to print?

Saving the document with the correct setting does not work. By
default it always reverts back to document showing markup.

Can anyone shed any light on this?
