Default How do I input italized lowercase prefatory numbers in a TOC.

You have posted three "helpful" messages, all of them dead wrong. It is
evident that the TOC style has already been changed to All Caps and that
that is what is causing the numbering to be capitalized. There is no way to
format the *page* numbers in a TOC through Format | Numbering.

Yep! You definitely need to modify the table of contents Style. These
styles are named TOC 1, TOC 2, etc. Let me know if you get stumped.

On the pages, the titles are for example: Abstract, Acknowledgements.

But in
the TOC they are all caps.

How do they appear on your pages? Is that level in your TOC formatted

as All
Caps? If so, you probably won't be able to change the formatting of

the page
numbers without unlinking the TOC.

The letters I, II, V, VI etc appear as uppercase letters in the TOC

before
starting with regular page numbers, but I need these letters to be
lowercase
and italized. Having difficulty figuring this out. Any help would be
appreciated.
