Default Headers and Footers

If the document contains multiple sections, and not only the first section
has a first page header, be sure to unlink the first page header in the
following section. Activate the header/footer view in section 2 (for example
by double-clicking the header), and then click to deselect the Link to
Previous option on the Header & Footer Tools Design contextual tab (Word
2007) or on the Header and Footer toolbar (Word 97-2003). After your friend
has unlinked the headers, she should be able to delete the contents of the
first page header in section 1.

A former co-worker of mine emailed me to say that no matter what she does,
her header always appears on the first page of her documents even after
selecting "Different First Page." Is there something I can tell her to
make
certain it doesn't appear on the first page?

As always, thanks!
