Default permanently changing header and footer tabs

The style €śHeader€ť is by default used in the header. The style €śFooter€ť is by
default used in the footer. You need to modify the tab positions in the style
definitions of those styles.

If needed, see Word help on €śModify a style€ť. In the Modify Style dialog
box, click Format and select Tabs. The Tabs dialog box does not let you move
tabs; you must clear the old tabs and set the new tabs you want (before
clearing the old tabs, click each of them and note the settings €“ it may help
you define the new ones correctly).

i am in the process of setting up my 'normal' word sheet (the one that pops
up when i click on file:new). i've managed to get the paper size to 'a4' from
'letter', to change margins and the font.
i am now stuck at trying to adjust the 2 tabs (centre and right) that come
by default in the header and footer. i can't seem to have them permanently
set according to the new margins. every new word sheet i open, they're back
where they were originally.
is there a way i can set a new default for the original 2 header and footer
tabs?

cheers
