I think you may be misinterpreting my purpose here.

I did not come here looking for help, and I don't need or want a
"work-around." I am trying to contribute to the improvment of Word by
providing feedback. That is why these comments are filed under "Suggestion
for Microsoft."

This is something that I consider a usability issue with a clear,
straightforward solution, and I wanted to point it out to someone who might
care.

Do you agree that this is a problem? If you agree, then great... pass the
word along or something. If you don't, that's fine too. What's your opinion
on the issue?
