Formatting issues opening DOCs in Word 2007
Note that a change in printer driver can cause some of what you're seeing
(see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TextReflow.htm).

I tried setting Compatibility and the Style Set to 2003 and 2000. Neither
helped. I'm awaiting a reply from MSS.
Thanks

FWIW, though, the Compatibility Options are saved with the document and
should already be set for the correct version.

Not sure if this will help, but in Word 2007, you could try "Office
button" = "Word Options" = "Advanced" = "Lay out this document as if
created in" (at the bottom).

I'm having formatting issues opening older .DOC files from 200 and
2003
in
Word 2007. Indents change, Page numbers change, 2nd page headers go
on
the
cover page... Any ideas?
