Default Suppressing header but not footer in a document

CyberTaz has given you most of the details, but, to repeat, if you want the
footer on *every* page, then you need to put the same content in the Footer
and the First Page Footer.

You can use Copy/Paste to transfer it from one to the other, but note: No
matter how carefully you select the text *without* the paragraph mark and
paste with the paragraph mark selected, Word will still paste the text as a
complete paragraph, leaving the original empty paragraph in place, and
you'll need to delete this extra, empty paragraph. Needless to say, this is
much easier to handle if you have nonprinting characters displayed.

I followed Susan Barnhill's great directions for creating a header for

second
and subsequent pages of a letter. However, once I activate "different

first
page," I've lost the Footer that's supposed to be at the bottom of every

page.
