If you have selected By Author, this setting will be honored, but you have
no control over what color(s) will be used. I strongly suspect that other
formatting will conform to settings on the recipient's computer, but I have
no specific knowledge of this. I'm pretty sure that use of balloons or not
(in Word 2002 or 2003) will be determined by the recipient's settings. I
think it's safe to assume that the most effective way to display tracked
changes is the way the recipient is used to seeing them, which may not be
the way you are used to seeing them.

How do I know how my track changes are going to show in a document I email
to
some one? For example, I have my track changes set to show insertions in
blue underline and my deletes red strick through. If I send this to
someone
who has different settings (By Author, for wxample) how will the changes
show
up--as I sent them or bases on the setting on the recipient's computer?
Thanks
