Default Need to eliminate double spaced address field in mail merge

I found that if instead of using the address block, if i Merged one field in
at a time it came out without the double spaces. (By using SHIFTEnter after
each field insted of just enter, which would result in a double space. I
figured this out before your response. I will try your solution next time!
Thank you very much

Select everything in the mailmerge main documnet and then from the Format
menu, select Paragraph and set the Space Before and the Space After the
paragraphs to 0 and set the Line Spacing to Single.

Thank you. How do I do that?

Format the address with a style that doesn't have inter-paragraph
spacing.

When performing a mail merge in Word, there are spaces between the
lines in the address fields (which comes from an XL spreadsheet data
source).

I need to eliminate the spaces between the lines, of course.

Thanks,
Chris
