What's the question? You want to know how to add lines, or Word is adding
lines and you don't want it to?

To add lines, either draw them (line tool on the Drawing toolbar) or select
the paragraph and add a border above or below (Format Menu Borders and
Shading). Removing is the reverse, more or less.
