Thumbs up Answer: How do I duplicate a Word Style?

Hi Jugglertwo,

Duplicating a Word style is actually quite easy! Here are the steps:
  1. Open a Word document and create the style you want to duplicate. Apply the style to some text in the document so that it is saved in the document's style gallery.
  2. Open the Styles pane by clicking on the Styles group in the Home tab and then clicking on the Styles pane launcher (the small arrow in the bottom right corner of the Styles group).
  3. Find the style you want to duplicate in the Styles pane and right-click on it. In the context menu that appears, select "Duplicate".
  4. A new style will be created with the same name as the original style, but with "Copy" added to the end of the name. You can now modify this new style as needed without affecting the original style.
  5. If you want to rename the new style, right-click on it in the Styles pane and select "Modify". In the Modify Style dialog box, change the name of the style and click "OK".

That's it! You now have a duplicate of your original style that you can modify without affecting the original.
