I recently realised that MS Word (both 2003 and 2007) has a nasty feature
when it comes to selecting text, a feature that other word processors don't
have. Namely, when wanting to delete the text between the cursor and the end
of the row (Shift+End then Delete), what's also deleted is the line break
between the end of the row and the start of the next paragraph. It's when the
next paragraph is of a different style that this problem is most annoying,
because that paragraph's text is then immediately brought right after the
cursor, making it the same style as the paragraph from which I've just
deleted.

Is it possible to make Word not behave like this, i.e. only the delete the
selected characters rather than make a mess out of the following paragraph?
