Autocomplete is turned on, the autotexts are longer than 4 letters, and they
are all just letters, no symbols ... they are regular words, I first thought
maybe there was another entry that was named similar, but I checked the
organizer and that is not the case. I am at a loss, I also tried renaming
the entry to see if it was just the name of the autotext, no good. Could it
have something to do with the fact that it is inserting a graphic?? Thanks
for all the input.

And ISTR that AutoComplete doesn't fire if the first character (or maybe any
of the characters) is a symbol (that is, anything not alphanumeric)--seems
like it was the pipe character ( | ) that caused a problem.

Hi Sue-

Go to ToolsAutocorrect Options & on the Autotext page make sure you have

a
check in the box for 'Show Autocomplete suggestions'.

Also, an Autotext entry _must_ be unique in order for Autocomplete to pick
it up, i.e. one which is a list of cities named 'companycities' & another

a
list of employees named 'companypersonnel'. The autocomplete tip will not
appear until you have typed in 'companyc' or 'companyp', just 'company'

will
not cause the tip to appear.

Autocomplete will also not work if one of the first 4 characters is a
'space', if I remember correctly.

They are more than four letters long in name, still don't work.

The autotext name needs to have at least 4 letters, I think.

Is there a trick to naming an autotext, so that it will work with
autocomplete?? I have created three autotext, they all appear in

the Normal,
only on one of them does the autocomplete work. I did check to make

sure
that the autocomplete was checked appropriately to be active. My

one
autotext is a text box with a graphic inside in, the other has typed

text
with a fill-in box, could this cause an issue??Thanks.
