Default Currency and Decimal Places..Am aware it has been answered.

All the switches you are likely to need (and probably a few more besides)
are shown in the relevant sections of
http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm which may have been the
reference to which you referred.

if you insert a merge field from the wizard or toolbar
(http://www.gmayor.com/mail_merge_lab...th_word_xp.htm) it will probably
be displayed in the document as

Fieldname

Press Alt +F9 (or right click the field and select 'toggle' and it will show
as

{Mergefield Fieldname}

Or if you know the fieldnames simply use CTRL+F9 for the field boundaries
and type in the rest between.

Add the switch to suit the task after the field name and before the closing
bracket eg for dollar currency :

{Mergefield Fieldname \# ",$0.00"}

Press F9 (to update) then ALT+F9 (or Right click toggle) to toggle the
display back again.

Hi.
I'm having the same problem with most others regarding the decimal
places and currency transfer from Excel to Word.

I have read over the webpage detailing what you should do but I am
totally new to this system and did not understand much of it.

Could someone please explain how to resolve this problem in newbie
terms please?

Thank you.
