Default How do I make an existing document or pdf into a fillable one?

I guess they split it with 6.0, which is what I have.

I'm still using Acrobat 5.0, which only comes in one flavor, but it works
as described.

Even Acrobat Standard (which is what I have, and that's expensive enough)
doesn't permit creation of fillable forms; for that you have to have
Acrobat Professional.
