The "scaled" documents probably contain revisions and/or comments, and your
settings are to use "balloons".

Try Tools Options Track Changes and set the Use balloons setting to
Never. If this fixes the print, you may also want to accept all changes,
assuming you didn't know about or want the revisions in these documents.
