Thanks for the tip, Pops. I got a similar tip from a friend (use "paste
special" and then paste as a "windows metafile" (which is an image) and
this has worked. I'd prefer to have the table "behave" and not have to
use an "uneditable" graphics file but this solution does work for the
particular report for which I have a deadline.

As far as I can tell, I want row heights of about .2
inches for 12 pt
type and bit smaller (.16") for 10 point.

Hope I'm explaining this problem satisfactorily.
