A few possibilities immediately spring to mind - a corrupt normal.dot file
(rename it and let Word build another) a corrupt font (replace the font file
with a known good one), or a corrupt printer driver (uninstall the driver on
the user's machine and re-install it).

My guess would be the last one.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling office, recently just
updated to office 2003 to see is this helped.

Typing a new document this problem also occurs.

On a windows xp machine. Scanned for viruses and all updates done.

All the user's file's appear and print okay on other computers.
Wondering if there may be a setting that needs changed, trying to
avoid rebuilding the system.

Thanks in advance
