Word will always display the name of font that has been applied to text,
even if it is not installed. This is a convenience so that you know what
font to install if you want to view the document as intended. The font
itself is not displayed; Word substitutes another font for display purposes.
If you want to eliminate the display of a given font name in a document, you
must apply a different font to the text.

to further clarify: i deleted the font file, it does not exist on my
harddrive anymore that I know of, but when I am in Word and picking a text
they are still listed (even though if you select it a generic text
appears).....so how do I delete it from the program
