Where do you have the Next Record fields? There should be one BEFORE
the first merge field on each name badge in the mail merge main document
EXCEPT for the first name badge.

You should NOT have the Next Record field after the merge fields on each
name badge ESPECIALLY after the merge fields on the last name badge on the
mail merge main document as Word indexes automatically when it goes to the
next sheet and if you also have a Next Record field at that point, Word
will index by 2.
