Default How to align graphics vertically in the middle of the line

I am copying math solutions (HTML form) and placing them in a word document.
The problem that I am encountering is that the images of fractions are lined
up such that the bottom of the image is aligned with the bottom of text. I
would like it so that the middle of the image is lined up with the middle of
the text, so when you say x = 3/4 (imagine the 3/4 being written with a --)
the equal sign will be in front of the -- instead of in front of the 4. I
have uploaded a sample file to try to demonstrate what I am talking about.

When using the Equation Editor 3.0, the images that it generates are lined
up correctly (the = is lined up with the --). Is there a easy way for get
this desired result? I would hope for a solution that is easy to apply to
large areas, but any solution is helpful. Also, please let me know if there
is a better way to post the sample file than yousendit. thanks!
