Default Document numbering is not resetting at 1 each time Word is ope

As long as you have Outlook open, then, an instance of Word is also open,
and numbering will not restart until Word is completely shut down.

Yes, I think so.

Word did not use to do this. It would start at Document1 each time I

opened
the software. Now it's up to Document60 and counting up each time a

document
is created.

When I open Word 2003, the Document number that the program generates

for
each new worksheet does not reset to Document 1 but rather keeps

counting
even after I've exited the program.
