Default Tables lost their formatting

Also noteworthy, when I select the style in the style panel, the first row in
the drop-down list says: Select All: Not Currently Used. However, every
table in the document uses that style.

I am using Word 2003 SP2 and Windows XP SP2.

I have a 170 page document that contains dozens of tables. The tables were
all custom formatted (corporate color shading in the heading row, and every
other row shaded).

Now, although the style still shows the name of the custom table I created,
and although when you go into the style and verify that the style has
retained the customizations I specified, the tables in the document are all
plain tables with no color formatting. Anyone know what happened (or how to
do a global fix)?

Thank you!
