Default Can I create an Excel spreadsheet from a Word doc?

Another thing you could try, is to save the Word file as HTML (It's an
option in the SaveAs Dialog box - 'Save As Type')

Then you can open them as HTML files in Excel.

This will really only work sensibly if the files are mostly Tables in Word.
If they are all text boxes and complicated formatting, with columns and
stuff, you will probably just get a mess in Excel.

If they are not huge files, you might want to consider creating them from
scratch in Excel, and just cutting/pasting any large chunks of text
across...(?)

I'll look out for you here on Monday... :-)

Have a nice weekend,

Chris.

Thanks for the suggestion, Chris. I'll try it. As for "why", I won't know
til
I see them. All I know is my boss called to tell me that's what I'll be
doing
Monday. I just wanted to have an idea of how to do it beforehand.
Thanks again,
Connie

It really depends on the layout of the forms.

Just for fun you could TRY this

In Word, Edit-SelectAll, Edit-Copy

In Excel, Edit-Paste and see what happens...

Why do you want to convert them to spreadsheets, are you planning to have
calculated fields etc on them?

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi. I'm new to this so please bear with me.
I have 30 surveyors forms in Microsoft Word. I need to transfer each
one
to
it's own Excel Spreadsheet. I am not programmer-literate, so I'm
totally
clueless as to how to do this. Can you help?
Thanks,
Connie
